From Editor's

Every Wednesday, there is a corner where LEON's editorial staff introduces the daily process of creating the magazine and what they learned through interviews. This time, newcomer Kato appears for the first time.

It's been 4 months since I joined LEON. Kato still doesn't know much about editing work, but he is working hard every day. This time, we would like to introduce you to the photo shoot for the December issue of LEON, which will be released on October 25th!

On this day, we met at Hakone at 5 o'clock, so we started shooting quite early. Therefore, I decided to wake up at 2:30 a.m. and head to the site. Normally I would take a nap inside the location bus, but on this day I had to transport the Range Rover that I would be using for the shoot on my own... In a large Range Rover that I was not used to, I picked up the arrogant Akamatsu Paisen who had asked me to pick him up in the morning and headed towards Hakone, but I had just come from the countryside and had no idea where the Shuto Expressway branched off. . I panicked and asked Akamatsu Paisen next door for navigation, but he was fast asleep and didn't respond (lol). In the end, I had to head to the site on my own and had to take a very long detour (although I arrived safely).

It was worth getting up early to take the photo, and I was able to take some wonderful photos in the gentle light! After this, we continued to take photos at sightseeing spots and inns in Hakone, and then cranked up the camera in the evening. After the shoot, I ate soba noodles with the staff and models, feeling a sense of accomplishment, and returned to the editorial department with Paisen Akamatsu in the passenger seat, who asked me to take him home with me. It was a very hard shoot from early morning, or even late at night, but we were able to take some wonderful photos and make some great memories!

The photo I took while rubbing my sleepy eyes will be available in the December issue of LEON, “Magical Wardrobe Special,” which will be released on October 25th, so please look forward to it!
