Editor-in-Chief Ishii's ``A Splendid Life of Extraneous Thoughts''

I want to do that, I want to do this. I want to enjoy life even more! Based on such greedy thoughts, we will deliver the daily life of editor-in-chief Ishii, who enjoys life full of distractions. This time, I'll be talking about my business trip to Paris from the past. As this was the first collection of the post-corona period, each maison held a party after the show. The Dior party is especially exciting. Please take a look at the night where you can feel the power of Paris for the first time in a while.

As I wrote last time, going to Paris for the first time in a while was very powerful. One of the things that played a part in this was the after-parties of various maisons. Among them, Dior's one commemorates the 5th anniversary of the appointment of men's artistic director Kim Jones, and the invitation is limited, and the location is amazing! Maxime de Paris is a long-established restaurant in Paris. Even though I had passed by it before, it was my first time to go inside, so I went into the middle of the night with a lot of energy!

Well, I was surprised. A famous French restaurant considered to be of the highest level has become a club! People swaying to the sounds of the DJ, people talking passionately over Maxim's original cocktails and champagne (I think it was Dom Ruinart), and people savoring the food served by waiters... each visitor has their own pleasure. I felt so hot that I had the illusion that the night sky over Paris had turned red.

I took the opportunity to take a photo of Maxim. The restaurant is the embodiment of the Art Nouveau style, so it's different from the entrance. It's even more moving to think that in addition to famous members such as Coco Chanel, Grace Kelly, Sophia Loren, and Jean Cocteau, wealthy people from all over the world have passed through here and enjoyed themselves.

Is this enough? The decorated stairs are also picturesque. To put it bluntly, it's a "barely" decoration (lol), but I think the sheer strength and dignity that is barely maintained is really cool.

The bartender team is also full of good-looking guys. Not only are they cool, but they also have craftsmanship and mischievous characters...I even imagined that if we did a fashion shoot with them, they might be able to come up with a different proposal than usual.

bonus!
At the KENZO after party held earlier on the same day. The venue was the rooftop terrace overlooking the Eiffel Tower. Even though it was so bright, it was actually 9:30 at night (lol). Model UTA, who was appearing in the show, was also in attendance, and I took a quick photo to commemorate his appearance, but due to the size of his face and good figure, I was hesitant to stand in line... Hmmm.

see you!
