Editor-in-Chief Ishii's ``A Splendid Life of Extraneous Thoughts''

I want to do that, I want to do this. I want to enjoy life even more! Based on such greedy thoughts, we will deliver the daily life of editor-in-chief Ishii, who enjoys life full of distractions. This time we take a look at a dinner hosted by Tod's, a brand that embodies Italian luxury. What a place! It was the Italian embassy.

The Tod's project ``Aria d'Italia'', which started this spring, includes ``Pleasure'', ``Timeless'', ``Craftsmanship'', ``Passion'', ``Heritage'', and ``Joy''. The eight themes of "Joy" and "Boldness" are expressed through the private lives and stories of young artists, craftsmen, and ordinary people. A dinner was held at the Italian Embassy to commemorate the recent compilation of various movies and visuals into a book, a project that celebrates and disseminates the modern Italian lifestyle and its values.

Tod's Group Chairman Diego Delavalle also visited Japan for the first time in a while. I could see that the Italian ambassador was nervous in front of such a big name representing Italy (lol), but the dinner with Tod's friends Nana Eikura and Keita Machida was just like a warm Italian dinner. . By the time I had my second glass of wine, I could hear laughter everywhere and was wondering if this was Florence. Milan? The atmosphere was so confusing that it was confusing.

The food that caught my attention was a special menu prepared by Michelin chef Domingo, who came to Japan from Puglia, Italy, just for this occasion. The dish in the photo, ``Mushrooms, burrata, fig leaves, and pickled plums,'' was said to be inspired by the friendship between Japan and Italy, and had an exquisite harmony of sweetness and sourness.

The Italian people's way of enjoying life. And on that night, I once again appreciated the warmth and richness that can be felt from Italian brands and products. Keita Machida, who also appeared on LEON.JP, seemed very happy. See you next time.
