Editor-in-Chief Ishii's ``A Splendid Life of Extraneous Thoughts''

I want to do that, I want to do this. I want to enjoy life even more! Based on such greedy thoughts, we will deliver the daily life of editor-in-chief Ishii, who enjoys life full of distractions. This time, we will be talking about "Scarpetta Tokyo" in Toranomon, which is said to be the number one restaurant to go on a date. I also thoroughly enjoyed one of the dishes.

“Scarpetta Tokyo” opened last fall on the 1st floor of Toranomon Kamiyacho Trust Tower following the huge popularity of its New York main store. The fact that it is located in the same building as the popular luxury hotel ``Tokyo Edition Toranomon'' is helping to heat up the Tokyo date scene. When you enter the store, the first thing that catches your eye is the large bar space. The interior design is reminiscent of New York and the high ceilings give a sense of openness, making your heart flutter. The smiling faces of your guests visible behind the arch are a great accent. Enjoy a drink here before moving on to the main dining room.

Ishii also stimulated his stomach with a dry martini. I stepped up my conversation with my companion.

Finally, we headed to the main dining room. The calm and chic coloring and clever use of lighting create an adult evening atmosphere. The cherry blossom accents, which are not found in the New York store, give this restaurant a uniquely Japanese personality (it might also be a good idea for an evening cherry blossom viewing date with a twist!). Like the bar space, the ceiling is high, so you can relax and feel comfortable without being stressed. The restaurant's delightful concept of being elegant yet unpretentious really shines through.

If you visit here, be sure to try the "Tomato Basil Spaghetti". The signature menu from the New York branch is also available at the Tokyo branch, and the chewy texture and deep, nutritious flavor that spreads in your mouth will make you want to order another refill! It's fine if the dish is complex and has a twist, but when it comes to a date, it's important that the two of you can simply look at each other and say, "It's delicious!" Although it is an Italian restaurant, all of the restaurant's dishes have a straightforward feel to them, which I believe is another reason for their popularity.

So, who did Ishii visit? I will keep that a secret. see you!
