From LEON Editor's

Every Wednesday, there is a corner where LEON's editorial staff introduces the daily process of creating the magazine and what they learned through interviews. This time, Ichimura, who is in charge of EYEWEAR LEON, appears.

Hello, this is Ichimura. Today we will talk about glasses. April and October are the season for new glasses every year. At this time, LEON is also running a special feature on glasses. The theme of the next LEON July issue's special feature on glasses is "thick glasses."

This summer, wearing masks is now optional, and you can enjoy wearing glasses and sunglasses for the first time in three years! No matter what I hide, during the mask period, even if I woke up in the morning, put together my outfit, put on sunglasses, and went out, I kept repeating the act of taking off my sunglasses as soon as I put on the mask at the entrance. As someone in charge of glasses, this "no mask" is hot and welcome news.

So, let's bring out the thick glasses that you've always wanted to wear but are difficult to wear! That's what this special feature is about.

So today, I would like to introduce a few new products for this season that I, who have been in charge of glasses for 12 years, personally thought "I really want to introduce! I want!" Although I was not able to introduce them because I unfortunately did not get into the special feature. Sho.

Unfortunately I can't introduce it! Entry No.1 "Four Nines" Thick Celtia Drop F-19NP

During a meeting with Four Nines, when I was checking out their new work, I was struck by Donzuba... The most notable point of this is that the horizontally long front shape makes it suitable for any handle. The design of something that looks good on everyone is quite disappointing, but the good thing about this one is that it looks good on everyone. I also like how the slight cut in the brow line creates a light texture on the matte black frame.

Unfortunately I can't introduce it! Entry No.2 "10eyevan" thick cell red Boston

This is also one that I was unable to introduce because we did not have a red frame. It's more of a wine red than red. No, it's thick. This is the first time I've seen this thickness in "10eyevan". 10eyevan has a strong image of a beautiful gold metal frame, so this look is fresh. The red clear frame actually looks even more subdued when applied to the face, and is a color that blends well with the face. This is a Boston shape, but the small size and plump frame go well together. The choice of 10eyevan and thick cell is really good.

Unfortunately I can't introduce it! Entry No.3 "DIOR" thick cell Wellington

What kind of image do you have of DIOR glasses? In fact, there are quite a few good designs out there. For example, this one features a super large front shape and a slightly dropped bridge (the part between the eyebrows). A design that is large and has a falling bridge usually gives a feminine impression, but this one has a thick frame, so it has a nice balance between feminine and masculine in shape. . Another feature is that it incorporates 3D metal parts in the eye area (the corner of the eye). This wisdom is the key to the individuality of each brand (especially luxury maisons), so it's fun to pay attention to this aspect when choosing. For example, Tom Ford eyewear is easy to understand.

Unfortunately I can't introduce it! Entry No.4 "Mazda" metal teardrop

This isn't fat at all (lol). Therefore, I can't introduce it in this special feature, but the combination of black metal and red light-colored lenses is really cool. The shallow top and bottom, which are not too deep, are light and modern. And above all, the nose is not a pad or a ring, but a metal bar that runs parallel to the rim, which makes it unique. As a glasses geek, I can't get enough of the overwhelming attitude that only people who can wear glasses can buy them because they say, ``It's almost impossible to adjust them.''

How was that. In this way, there are many things in each special feature, not just glasses, but ``things that we unfortunately couldn't introduce.'' We would like to introduce more and more of these things in this corner, so we hope you will come and take a look from time to time! !
