Black plate made from new material
Architect Kengo Kuma designed the building based on the theme of ``Wabi'', a unique Japanese aesthetic sense such as Ginkaku-ji Temple. We are conscious of black as a shadow that brings out the ingredients, and it brings out any color of the dish. If you look closely at the material, you can see the texture of wood powder in its pale color. Yes, at first glance it looks like pottery, but it is actually made from a new material called ``Transwood,'' which is a mixture of ``Prasus®,'' a biomass resin made from thinned wood and waste cooking oil. This material, which reflects the sensibilities of the times, has the advantage of being lightweight and unbreakable, making it recommended for outdoor use such as for barbecues.
