Editor-in-Chief Ishii's ``A Splendid Life of Extraneous Thoughts''

I want to do that, I want to do this. I want to enjoy life even more! Based on such greedy thoughts, we will deliver the daily life of editor-in-chief Ishii, who enjoys life full of distractions. This time, I will be talking about Kushiage Nagura, a famous skewered restaurant that I visited on a business trip to Osaka. Even Hoodie was impressed by the taste and skill...I was numb!

The other day, I was at Hankyu Men's Osaka for a collaboration event with Bottega Veneta. Girolamo and popular female stylist Chiharu Momo talked about the Winter 23 collection. There was a lot of content, including talk sessions, shopping time, styling advice, and more, but as expected from the Osaka customers. We had a lot of fun with the constant exchange of tsukkomi and jokes! (Big thanks!). In that vein, I went to "Kushiage Nagura" to have a thank you party for the staff. Located in a multi-tenant building in the center of Kitashinchi, this restaurant only has a counter with seven seats. The style is to receive one item at a time from the host.

From here, Ishii will introduce the skewers that impressed him. First up is Tokyo X's fried skewers. TOKYO Then try the sauce. It goes perfectly with the crispy batter, and the slightly sweet aftertaste goes well with white wine!

Next, when it comes to skewers, you can't miss the shrimp. This is saimaki shrimp. Saimaki prawns are prawns weighing less than 20g, and are said to be the best tasting prawns among chefs. The compatibility with Nagura's characteristic thin batter was also outstanding. Every time you bite into the firm body, you can feel the flavor overflowing...

Do you know what this is all about? The answer is... fried shark fin! It's served with fluffy mineral salt, and in addition to the splendid dashi stock, it has a unique plump texture! It was my first experience in my life.

Happy golden fried skewers... I think this is a famous restaurant that is also useful for dates and entertainment. There are only 7 seats, so it's great to rent it out with friends. I recommend it.
